Preamble:

This privacy policy statement has been created to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the type of information gathered by BonusWords.Com, to what use any information gathered will or may be put, and the safeguards against misuse of information to which BonusWords.Com is fully committed.

What information does BonusWords.Com collect? &
How is this information used?

1) Web Server Logs:
Standard web server logs record in a manner which does not identify individual users basic, standard internet traffic protocol data. This includes the IP number and/or domain name of visitors to the web site, and related information such as the date and time that IP address accessed files on our web server. It may also record the IP number or domain name of the referring web site. (ie, the site from which the visitor clicked a link which led them to the BonusWords.Com domain.) In the event of referrals originating from search engines, in some cases the 'search string' used by the visitor at that search engine may sometimes also be forwarded by the search engine and be recorded by the BonusWords.Com web server. None of the information collected by the web server logs personally identifies visitors. Email addresses are not collected or logged by our standard web server logs.

Use:
Web server log information is used or can be used for a number of purposes. These include:

Identifying in broad terms the geographic reach of visitors to the web site. This may assist in designing the site and presenting it in a manner most suitable for the visitors.

Identifying the web pages or files most or least accessed by visitors. This assists in knowing the type/s of information which visitors are most, or least, interested in finding at the BonusWords.Com website, and according provides useful information for further developing the site to cater for the interests of visitors.

Monitor potential abusers, such as visits by spam bots, hackers, or other types of abusers. Any such cases of abuse identified may lead to BonusWords.Com passing on an abuse report to the ISP or other upstream service supplier of the abuser. Although our web log information does not personally identify the abuser, the combination of IP address and time and date from our logs enables the ISP or other service provider of the offender to compare it to their log records, and identify the abuser. Such information and action is not routinely passed back to BonusWords.Com, though in extreme cases we reserve the right to take legal action to compel that service provider to provide to us the identity of the abuser so that civil or criminal actions can be pursued against the perpetrator.

Web server log information is also used to monitor the stability and security of the web server, and to monitor its proper functioning.

2) Product Sales Records:
When a visitor makes a purchase from the BonusWords.Com website, the sales transaction is conducted by a third-party e-commerce service, known as Clickbank/Keynetics. BonusWords.Com is at no stage privy to the credit card details of the purchaser, as these are not passed back to BonusWords.Com by Clickbank/Keynetics. The only information provided by Clickbank/Keynetics to BonusWords.Com when notifying us of a sales transaction is a single email which briefly lists:

• Receipt Number
• Sale Date
• Product sold
• Price
• First & last name of the purchaser
• State/region, Country and Postal/zip code of the purchaser; &
• Email address of the purchaser.

Use:
Product sales records are used for accounting and taxation purposes, and for verifying purchases where customer service requests are received.

Unless further contact is initiated by the purchaser, we guarantee not to ever use the email address of the purchaser. Even then, it will be used for the sole purpose of responding to the specific contact initiated by the purchaser.

The one and only exception to the above paragraph is where BonusWords.Com has sold a product with a promise of providing a further product as a free bonus when publication becomes available. In such a case, purchaser's email addresses will be used at the time the free bonus product becomes available for the sole purpose of notifying the customer that the product they are expecting has now become available.

Such email addresses will never be sold, rented, traded, given or in any other way provided to any other party for any reason whatsoever, unless a customer requests a refund. In the event that we consider their request for a refund to be legitimate, we will forward a copy of the sales notification supplied to us by Clickbank/Keynetics back to Clickbank/Keynetics giving our authorisation for a refund to be granted. Clarifying this, in the event of issuing a refund, we will only send back to Clickbank/Keynetics the exact same information that they supplied to us originally, and which was supplied to them in the first place by the customer. (The only other imaginable exception to this paragraph is in the extremely unlikely event that we are obliged to disclose this information by law.)

The product sales records may also be used by BonusWords.Com for generic purposes such as identifying the most common countries of customers. Such information in aggregate form may be useful in planning future product launches, marketing campaigns, and similar purposes.

3) Newsletter Subscription Records:
BonusWords.Com provides a weekly email newsletter via a queued autoresponder software system. This is hosted on our server, not by any third party service. Accordingly, the names and email addresses of subscribers are never available to any other party. Subscription to the weekly newsletter is via an opt-in system only, using web form on our website. No names or email addresses are ever manually entered by BonusWords.Com. The information collected from subscribers is their first name and their email address. In the process of the subscriber providing this information, their IP address, date and time are also recorded. Subscribers are able to delete themselves from the mailing list at any time they chose by clicking on a link contained at the end of every issue of the newsletter. The unsubscription takes immediate effect, and the entire subscriber record is deleted from the server. The software used does not retain a list of "deleted users".

Use:
The primary use to which opt-in subscriber data (first name and email address) is put is to send the requested "Bonus Words Weekly Newsletter" to subscribers. The names and email addresses are not publicly accessible and BonusWords.Com guarantees to never sell, rent, swap, trade or in any other way pass on subscriber names or email addresses to any other party at any time. (The only imaginable exception to this paragraph is in the extremely unlikely event that we are obliged to disclose this information by law.)

Aggregated data in a generic sense (such as the IP number or the email domain name country codes, for example) from the subscription information may also be used to better understand and serve the demographics of our subscribers, or to plan future marketing campaigns. (For example, we may decide from such aggregated generic data that web users in a certain country are not being reached by our online marketing activities. We may then amend our banner advertising, or the web sites on which we may place advertisements, in order to better serve particular markets.)

4) Affiliates:
The BonusWords.Com affiliate program is administered by our e-commerce provider, Clickbank/Keynetics. Under the Clickbank system any Clickbank affiliate is automatically able to also be a BonusWords.Com affiliate. BonusWords.Com has no knowledge of the identity of affiliates, other than by a 'nickname' which identifies them to Clickbank, unless the affiliates voluntarily notify us of their identity.

Use:
Where affiliate do provide us with their identity, BonusWords.Com will only use their contact information for purposes specifically related to the operation of BonusWords.Com affiliate program. BonusWords.Com operates a mailing list with "occasional" newsletters specifically for affiliates. Affiliates will not be automatically placed on this mailing list. If an affiliate of Clickbank notifies us that they wish to participate in the BonusWords.Com affiliate program, we will ask them if they wish to be inluded on our mailing list for updates and marketing assistance specifically related to the BonusWords.Com affiliate program. Only affiliates responding in the affirmative will be included on this mailing list, and they may request to be removed at any time.

No personal information of any affiliate will be made available to any other party (except Clickbank, which administers the affiliate program) without the express prior permission of the affiliate. (The only imaginable exception to this paragraph is in the extremely unlikely event that we are obliged to disclose this information by law.)

Cookies:

BonusWords.Com does not use cookies, has no plans of ever using them, though reserves the right to do so. In the unlikely event that our "no cookies" policy changes, this Privacy Policy Statement will be updated to reflect any variation in cookies policy prior to them being implemented.

Cookies are used by our third-party e-commerce provider, Clickbank. Clickbank uses cookies for the purpose of determining if and which referring affiliate is entitled to a commission on any sales made of products offered on the BonusWords.Com website. No information from Clickbank cookies is ever made available to BonusWords.Com, except upon a product sale. Upon such a product sale, Clickbank notifies us of the 'nickname' of the referring affiliate to who a commission will be paid. Further information about Clickbank privacy, security, cookies and other policies is available from Clickbank's own website.

Anti-Spam Policy:

BonusWords.Com is fully committed to protecting itself and its visitors, subscribers, customers and affiliates from spam. We strongly object to spamming, and to the extent that our technological and financial resources enable us to do so, we commit ourselves to abiding by the "Principles of Best Practice in Email Spam Prevention and Eradication" espoused by antispam organisation, Bestprac.Org.

Our objection to spam and commitment to privacy extends to our affiliates. Our affiliate agreement prohibits affiliates from using spam, predatory advertising, or any other ethically questionable methods of marketing their affiliate relation with BonusWords.Com. In the event of violation by any affiliate, we shall notify Clickbank of the infringement and seek to have the Clickbank affiliate account of the offender cancelled and any accrued commissions withheld. We furthermore reserve the right to pursue legal action and remedies against any affiliate who taints BonusWords.Com's name and reputation by spamming.
